Is my video ever uploaded to Vlexor's servers?
No. Your footage is edited and rendered entirely on your own machine, by the desktop app, using a bundled copy of ffmpeg — cutting, color grading, and exporting never touch the network. What does reach Vlexor's servers is text: the command you type, the edit plan it produces, and (when you're teaching Vlexor a style) either a YouTube link or a written description, never a video file. The one deliberate exception is auto-captions and text-based editing: to generate word-level timestamps, the desktop app extracts a short, audio-only track locally and uploads just that clip — capped at 25MB — for transcription. It's audio, not video, it's never persisted as a file afterward, and everything downstream of it (like deleting a word in the transcript to cut the matching clip) works purely off timestamps and text, both on your device and on the server.
What happens when I hit my usage limit?
Vlexor enforces AI-assisted editing usage across four independent windows, checked tightest-first: a rolling 5-hour window, a daily window (resets at midnight UTC), a weekly window (resets Monday 00:00 UTC), and a monthly window. These only apply once you're on a paid plan — an account with no active subscription isn't gated by this system at all. If a command would cross one of your plan's caps, Vlexor first checks whether you have any credit-pack or GitHub-star-bonus balance sitting on your account and, if so, spends it automatically to cover the edit — most of the time you won't even notice a limit was hit. Only if that balance can't cover it do you see an actual block: a message telling you exactly which window you hit and when it resets, a one-click link to upgrade your plan, and — if you haven't already claimed it — a prompt to grab the GitHub star bonus for extra minutes on the spot.
Do unused credit-pack or bonus minutes expire?
No. Credit-pack purchases and the GitHub star bonus are tracked as a single running balance on your account, not tied to any billing period — they don't reset monthly and they don't have an expiry date. The four usage windows above reset on their own fixed schedules regardless of your credit balance, but the balance itself just sits there until it's actually needed to cover an over-cap edit, however long that takes.
Does Vlexor work in Arabic?
Yes — Arabic is a first-class language throughout Vlexor, not a bolted-on translation. You can type editing commands in Arabic or English, or mix the two, and the command engine understands both equally well; the marketing site, dashboard, and settings are fully bilingual with automatic RTL layout. Text-as-timeline — deleting a word from the transcript to cut its matching clip — is script-agnostic by design: it works purely off each word's timestamps, never the text itself, so Arabic, English, and mixed-direction transcripts all cut identically. Captions and burned-in subtitles render Arabic script natively as well, not as a fallback.
Can I use Vlexor on an Intel Mac?
Not right now. The current macOS build requires Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, or newer) — there's no Intel build available today. If you're on an Intel Mac, your options are the Windows build (Windows 10/11, 64-bit) on a different machine, or checking back later, since this is a real gap in the current release rather than an intentional restriction. There's no way to run the AI-assisted editor itself in a browser as a workaround — actual editing and rendering only happen in the desktop app.
How do I get bonus AI-editing credits?
The most direct way is to star Vlexor's public GitHub repository: link your GitHub account from Settings, star the repo, and Vlexor verifies the star server-side against GitHub's own API before crediting a one-time 60-minute bonus — it can't be spoofed from the client, and it can only be claimed once per account. Separately, you can also buy a one-time credit pack from Settings any time you want more headroom without upgrading your plan or waiting for a window to reset — one credit equals one minute of AI-assisted editing, and both sources land in the same balance described above.
What's the difference between Pro, Pro+, and Max?
The difference is best understood as a multiplier on usage across the same four enforcement windows, not a single hours-per-month number. Pro+ gives up to 4x more AI-assisted editing usage than Pro across every one of those windows — the 5-hour window and the daily and weekly caps scale up along with the monthly total, so what you can sustain on any single busy day also grows, not just the ceiling at month's end. Max removes the cap entirely on all four windows, so there's no 5-hour, daily, weekly, or monthly limit to run into. Each tier up also raises export quality (1080p on Pro, 4K with no watermark on Pro+ and Max, plus 4K HDR on Max), moves you up the render queue, and unlocks unlimited style references plus Pacing Clone starting at Pro+. Above Max sits a Custom tier for agencies and teams that need negotiated usage limits, seats, and dedicated render capacity.
Does analyzing a reference video's style count against my usage?
No. Teaching Vlexor a style — whether during onboarding or later through Pacing Clone — is a separate flow from issuing an editing command against your own footage, and it isn't metered by the four usage windows at all. It only ever takes a YouTube link or a written description as input, never your own project's footage, and it doesn't touch your plan's AI-assisted editing minutes. Only commands that actually produce or modify an edit plan for your own footage count toward those caps.
Is there a free trial?
There's no traditional multi-day countdown trial. Instead, creating a Vlexor account is free and doesn't ask for a credit card up front: you can analyze your first reference video and try the AI command engine before choosing a plan at all. The four enforced usage windows described above only start applying once you actually subscribe to a paid tier. For the current, exact terms, the Pricing page is the source of truth — it's built to make that free starting point explicit before you ever have to commit to anything.
Which browsers and operating systems does Vlexor support?
The web app — the marketing site, your dashboard, account settings, billing, and the onboarding style-analysis flow — runs in any modern desktop browser, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, with no special plug-in required. Actual video editing, meaning running commands against your own footage and rendering the final export, happens only in the dedicated desktop app rather than a browser tab, which is exactly what keeps your footage local instead of uploaded. That desktop app currently ships for macOS (Apple Silicon only) and Windows 10/11 (64-bit); there's no Linux build yet.
What exactly counts as an "AI-assisted editing minute"?
Every time you send a command to Vlexor's command engine against a piece of footage, it's the length of that footage — not how long the AI took to respond, and not how long you spend reviewing the result — that gets recorded against your plan. That check happens before the command runs, against whichever of the four windows is tightest for your tier, and the usage is recorded across all four windows at once after the command succeeds. Vlexor separately keeps an informational count of your total number of commands per month, but that count is never the enforced cap — the enforced cap is always footage-minutes, checked across those four windows.
What export quality and formats does each plan get?
Pro exports at 1080p with no watermark; Pro+ and Max both export at 4K with no watermark, and Max additionally supports 4K HDR. Render priority scales with plan too: Pro uses the standard render queue, Pro+ gets priority placement, and Max gets the fastest render priority available. On the way in, the desktop app accepts MP4 and MOV footage up to 4K when you add it to a project.
How is billing handled, and do I need a GitHub account?
Subscription checkout and one-time credit-pack purchases both go through Vlexor's payment processor: you're taken to a secure hosted checkout page and redirected back once payment completes, and Vlexor itself never stores your card details. A GitHub account is entirely optional — the only reason you'd need one is to claim the GitHub star bonus, which requires linking your GitHub account from Settings so Vlexor can verify, against GitHub's own API, that you've actually starred the repo before crediting the bonus minutes.
